Yale Undergraduate Research Association (YURA)
We are a NY based

As a freshman, I co-founded the Yale Undergraduate Research Association (YURA), which aims to connect and develop the undergraduate research community at Yale University. YURA has grown into a large campus organization in less than a year with over 25 board members and engages over 1,000 Yale students, while working closely with the admissions office and senior deans from the School of Engineering, the Graduate School of Sciences, and Yale College. I founded and executed the first Yale Undergraduate Research Symposium (YURS), which featured 50 student presenters, a keynote by the President of the American Astronomical Society, and roughly 400 attendees. I organized full logistics for the conference, including soliciting/selecting applicants, organizing a 44-person research poster session, developing an conference abstract web app, catering lunch/snacks for 400 people, and serving as Master of Ceremonies. Our event was featured on the Yale Daily News and the official Yale University Facebook Page, which has over 1.3 million subscribers.
